Taurus Season
4/20/2022-5/20/2022
It’s Taurus season. That time of year when trees bring forth their fresh green baby leaves. The time when the earth opens, and delivers a beautiful array of colors brought to us by tulips, daffodils, and wildflowers of all types. It’s such a delicate and tender time of year especially when you consider the cold, harsh temperatures and conditions of winter. Spring is nothing short of a miracle, but if you look deeper you realize the master design created to not only display God’s great craftsmanship, but reminder to us how to bloom and spring forth in our own life.
Taurus is the second sign of the zodiac, representing growth and development. It is the first earth sign and as such shows the fully incarnated spirit putting down roots.
-The Secret Language of Birthdays
Putting down roots. Root is defined as
the part of a plant which attaches it to the ground or to a support, typically underground, conveying water and nourishment to the rest of the plant via numerous branches and fibers.
Have you ever seen the intricacies of a root system? All these little stringy things working together underground to bring nourishment to the thing growing above ground. Its the roots that make nature become what it is. It is also the soil; the place that the plant takes root that determines how it will grow. The best soil makes the most fruitful and abundant tree.
In Psalms chapter 1 verse 3 the author compares the life of the one who delights in the ways of God to a tree. He says:
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.4/
The psalmist tells us that a person who delights in the law of the Lord will be just like the trees we see everyday. No matter what season that tree goes through it remains intact and brings forth its fruit in the season that’s it’s meant to. This happens because it is rooted in fertile ground.
All of us go through some really heartbreaking things. Conditions so heartbreaking you think at any moment you’re going to collapse. But those who delight in the way of God are able to stand strong and continue growing in spite of those conditions. His ways are the fertile soil our roots need. Putting roots into his ways delivers the nourishment which will produce spiritual fruit; sustaining us for generations to come. Generations who also are given their own seeds to plant and take route to continue the cycle.
Nature delights in the law of the creator. We should delight in His law too. When we do that our lives can be as rich and fruitful as nature is during its season of bloom- no matter the conditions it had to go through to get there.
Delighting in the law of the creator is the only way to thrive in this life.
Taurus season is just as straightforward and uncomplicated
