Great Musical Tastes
I am always bragging about my kids but tonight I found out something very interesting about them…they have great musical tastes! Both of them kept asking for my iPod… and if you know me at all you know that my pod is one of my most precious material things…I go no where without it, listen to it constantly and freak out when I can’t immediately put my hands on it. I have left it at guitar practice twice and both times thought I may actually die cause I had left it behind! So I decided to let them make their own playlists and burn them CDs with pretty designs on them as a means to protect my beloved yellow pod. I let both kids choose what songs they wanted and I was absolutely shocked and impressed by what they chose! Sarah’s was a little predictable (HANNAH MONTANA!!) but some of Noah’s were a complete shock. I wish I’d been this cool when I was little. Without any further ado, I present my 6 and 4 year old’s playlists:
Noah (6):
Today is the Day (The Oh Oh Song): Lincoln Brewster Hey: Leeland Superman: Sister Hazel This is Home: Switchfoot Lose My Soul: tobyMac Where the Streets Have No Name: U2 Marvelous Light: Charlie Hall Start A Band: Brad Paisley and Keith Urban This Could Be Our Day: Addison RoadSarah (4):
Hoedown Throwdown (The Boom Boom Clap): Miley Cyrus Someday My Prince Will Come: Disney Princesses Free to Be Me: Francesca Battistelli Love Story: Taylor Swift Best of Both Worlds: Hannah Montana Lay EmDown: NeedtoBreathe He Could Be the One: Hannah Montana If I was Jesus : Paul Coleman You’ll Always Find Your Way Back Home: Miley Cyrus Belle: Disney Princesses Baby Girl: Sugarland Stars (Acoustic Version): Switchfoot Rockstar: Hannah Montana You Belong With Me: Taylor Swift Ever Ever After: Carrie Underwood The Climb: Miley Cyrus If You Can Dream: Disney Princesses
***Oh and Noah’s all include the most awesome rhythm on his drums (which are whatever you can beat on in the near vicinity). Sarah’s are all sung shaking her toosh or with her hands in the air. If it’s done with her eyes closed and face turned upwards, she’s singing it to God, not you.
